NEW YORK OAK BLUFFS LONDON BERLIN FUNCHAL
Digital sound system engineering since 2024.
Common hardware functionality
- Standard 1U rack width and height, 6 inch depth
- Fully digital signal path, modern DSP with 32 bit internals for 42 dB processing headroom, -139 dB(A) / -120 dB THD+N ASRCs
- Streamlined architecture: just one integrated DSP IC, subsecond startup time, no Linux/RPi/ARM/&c.
- 16 to 24 bit / 44.1 to 96kHz input(s), 24 bit / 48kHz output (configurable at the factory)
- Balanced IO via robust RS-485 transceivers with ESD protection for reliable performance in harsh environments
- Pulse transformers on XLR IO for galvanic isolation
- IEC 60958 compliant
- Custom potentiometer curves/mappings and IO as XLR, BNC, RCA, or TOSLINK available on request
- USB-C powered, 5V @ 1A (resistor configured, not PD), cable and AC adapter included
- Built-to-order at our Manhattan headquarters; please allow about one month for construction and delivery
Line Mixer mk1
- Because a Roland M-1000 is hard to find nowadays, and we give you another digital in
- Latest-generation receivers with ~50ps jitter
- 5x stereo S/PDIF in, RCA 75Ω unbalanced
- 1x stereo AES/EBU out, XLR 110Ω balanced
- Knob gain -inf at 7 o'clock, unity at 3 o'clock, +6 dB at 5 o'clock
Dub Siren mk1
- Sirens for all of your UKG and dub needs
- One LFO, one VCO, and reverb
- LFO has phase reset trigger, sine/square waveforms, 0.2Hz to 20Hz frequency, an LED indicator, and configurable depth
- VCO has sine/square waveforms, configurable frequency from 20Hz to 20kHz, and "half-mute" VCA with 50% duty cycle
- Reverb has configurable send/return volume, switchable slow/long length and bright/dim timbre
- 1x stereo S/PDIF out, RCA 75Ω unbalanced
Isolator mk1
- Traditional (e.g. Bozak) 400Hz / 4kHz crossover points and -inf / unity / +6dB range
- Selectable standard 18dB per octave third-order Butterworth or sharp 48dB per octave eighth-order Linkwitz-Riley crossovers
- Unique knob "shift" switch, for Sub/Low/Mid control with (80Hz or 100Hz) / 400Hz crossovers
- In other words: the lower three of a traditional four-knob isolator
- The switches maintain their control to enable high-pass cut
- 1x stereo AES/EBU input and output, XLR 110Ω balanced
Filter mk1
- "Euro mixer"-style configurable resonance and frequency from 20Hz to 20kHz
- Frequency additionally modulated by:
- An envelope follower with configurable intensity and switchable slow/fast decay
- An LFO from 0.2 to 16Hz with configurable intensity and switchable triangle/square waveforms
- 1x stereo AES/EBU input and output, XLR 110Ω balanced
Sub Harmonic Synthesizer mk1
- A DBX 500 for the modern era
- Generates tones an octive down its input; not a bass "exciter" or "maximizier"
- 1x stereo AES/EBU input and output, XLR 110Ω balanced
